Emma Romell (roh-MELL)

PhD student in Sociology, University of Wisconsin-Madison

I am a graduate student in Sociology at UW-Madison, where I am also affiliated with the Center for Demography and Ecology and the Collaborative for Reproductive Equity. I have wide-ranging interests in inequality, with research spanning topics including family structure and family relationships, health disparities, and education. My work has been published in Social Problems and Contraception

I hold an M.S. in Sociology and a B.A. with Distinction in Sociology, both from UW-Madison. In my free time, I love to cook, watch low-stakes reality TV, and, when time allows, camp and hike in the Southwest.
